I knew Skype can be useful for many things – chats, meetings, conference calls… but now I know it’s also great for  co-writing songs!

Jared Anderson from Desperation Band (writer of great songs like Amazed, Rescue and The Beauty of The Lord) is signed to the same label as me – Integrity Music. So we did a Skype call to write a song together.

It worked really well… we talked ideas for a while, then took a break to hang up and go work on the song seperately for half an hour. Then we Skyped again and compared what we’d come up with. It was great!

You songwriters out there – be encouraged that you don’t have to live near the people you write with… Skype is the answer! Ever tried it? Think you might?

Hi Friends!

Encouraging news…. a while ago Steve Fee and I got together and co-wrote a song called “Glory To God Forever”.

I heard today that only 12 hours after it was released, it jumped to No.1 on the iTunes CCM singles chart. Exciting!

I’m really praying that this song impacts the church globally and stirs many people in their worship.

FEE’S “GLORY TO GOD FOREVER” JETS TO NO. 1 SPOT ON iTunes ® CHRISTIAN AND GOSPEL SINGLES CHART IN LESS THAN 12 HOURS

Nashville, Tenn. Jul. 21, 2009…. After being released to iTunes ® earlier this morning, the newest single from Fee, “Glory to God Forever,” has shot to the No. 1 spot on iTunes ® Christian and Gospel Singles chart. “Glory to God Forever” is from Fee’s new album Hope Rising, due out on Oct. 6 on INO Records.

The song caught on long before its official release and is already being sung in churches across the country.

“It is a really simple song, but it is based on a massive concept,” says band front man Steve Fee. “The massive thought is  that everything in our lives gives glory to God. It strikes the very core of why we were made. I believe this is a song that was already in us to say that God created us to give glory to Him.”
