A New Blog For You To Check Out!

picture-13

Hi friends!

Hope you had a brilliant weekend…

I played in Cost Mesa CA last night. Photos below! But before you look at them I have a new Blog to recommend to you….

My friend Wendy from Eastbourne in England has started blogging! I’ve been hoping she would for a while now as she has some really cool stuff to say.. Her new blog (which I built myself…da.da.daaaah!) is now LIVE! (thanks to Jonathan Paul for help with the icons and some troubleshooting)

Go see Wendy’s new site “Turn Up The Contrast”  HERE!

Her latest entry is about practicing ‘random acts of kindness’… The one before that is about when she and I went to a Tattoo parlor and I played Coldplay’s “Fix You” and God’s presence really showed up. Exciting times!

Here are the pics from last night in Costa Mesa, CA:

I’m working on the new ‘theological debate’ question… so that’ll appear on here soon!

Go check out Wendy’s blog and leave her a comment to welcome her to the Blogosphere : -)

And in the Comments section today, leave me your Blog address and your name…. then I can check out what you guys are writing! Lets grow this Blog community wider and wider!

Love,

Vicky

    Hey Vicky,

My second write-up as I accidentally touched a key on the keyboard that took me back to the beginning…so, let's see…I was thanking you for a great job well done @ the PWC!!! Certainly, our Daddy gets ALL the glory and I pray we will all continue to live life pleasing to Him (Rom 12:1-2, Col 1:10). It was a priceless blessing to join you in worshipping our King. I am currently listening to Above All Else and please kindly extend my thanks to Beejay for being an AWESOME help! :-) If you recall (you don't have to of course since Jesus Christ Himself already knows us all by name), I'm the gal with the blue scarf attempting to help out in making change but got lost in it and left when I almost gave a guy $5 instead of $10. God is SO good AND faithful to us. May He continue to bless and keep you, sister!!! Psalm 134…Keep worshipping Him in Spirit and in Truth ABOVE ALL ELSE! By the way, my addy is chinedum.wordpress.com. Kudos on Wendy's and I love your blog design!!!!! Also, lovely to see Brody Harper on your blogroll–he and his wife actually encouraged me to blog… Love in Christ~

Hi Vicky! Long time lurker here on your blog, but read your petition for blog addresses, and couldn't resist! Though I nearly had to get involved in the epic “lose your salvation” discussion…but alas, this is the first post on your blog. Our site is at http://www.bandbox.com It used to be strictly a blog regarding how we are in support of a new way of “doing business” as artists, and making a real living at what we love. Now it is more of a website showing the outcome of our discussions; and in a couple of weeks, we'll re-launch our blog in support of our public launch of our new product.

Bandbox was built by a few of us in Nashville (whom you've met in passing a couple of times) who use to work at Provident, Sparrow, EMI, etc., and decided to break away and create something on our own that is truly FOR us artists…to help artists directly sell to their fans from any web location and also keep 100% of the profits of their digital sales, in the hopes that this will enable artists to actually make a living (I know…how dare we think so boldly). God has blessed our hard work with tremendous success…a lot of major artists are using us, and the word is getting out among Christian artists (especially) because of our ties to that community.

We are all huge fans of yours, most of us being men who admittedly shed tears in the middle of our first listen of Turn Your Eyes a few years back (still gives me goosebumps when it kicks!). Check out our blog/site – we would be h0nored to have you use Bandbox – its free. As Christians, we'd love to see more worship folks using it. You have a gifted ministry, and we are all in agreement that we want to support your mission in anyway possible.

    Blessings, Vicky!
    Dave

That looks like a cool site Dave! As an indie artist I'm glad you spoke up on here. I'll make sure to check it out in detail.

My blog address is nathanarnold.wordpress.com. Come on over. I've got a lot of readers, but not many commenters. Maybe you can give me some tips for inspiring conversation.

  • http://www.bandbox.com Dave

Hey Nathan! I checked out your blog. And your music. Great stuff! You can either watch for the upcoming public release of the free bandbox, or let me know and I'll hook you up right away. You've got great music, and I'd love to see you enjoy the full fruits of your labor (to support your continued creation of music).

Now to comment on some of your posts…

Fix You by Cold Play is a nice song. But I never thought that it could also be related to God, I always thought that it's for those who are friends.
