Ask Vicky Your Questions & Get A Video Reply!

Hi gang,

I love it when I’m at conferences or concerts and at the end, people come up and ask me questions about leading worship, songwriting, or following Jesus… it’s great to share our experience and help others avoid the pitfalls we encountered, and to share any insights we’ve gathered along the way. I usually turn the question round on them after I’ve given an answer – or ask them one of my own. I always learn a lot from the people I meet, as the churches, cities and nations we go to are so wonderfully diverse.

Face to face is the best way for these kind of Q and A conversations… so I’m starting a new series of Q and A VIDEO BLOGS! These will show up in the right hand column on the blog site, so you can easily see and access them. Email me your question by clicking on the envelope icon (near the facebook and itunes icons on the right hand of my blog) and I’ll get started answering them!

Love,
Vicky

    Hi Vicky-

We have Nicky Cruz coming to Milwaukee October 9, 10, and 11 for a charity banquet for Teen Challenge. Would you consider spending these days with Nicky and the students of Teen Challenge and provide music? Nicky would be greatly encouraged to have you for the meetings.

Oh good! I'm glad the American accent sounds funny to folks from the UK… I'd wondered about that. Sometimes something funny is just that much funnier if it's said with a British accent. :o) Chord charts indeed…

  • Thomas Rugg

    Hello Vicky,

I see someone else has also asked this question, but I see that the song you sung at Spring Harvest 09 (Speak Lord, your servant is listening) is not on the SH09 Live album! My brother and I think it's a brilliant song. Are there any plans for it's release, and is there a recording of the SH live available? I must say it was refreshing to have a female worship leader in the Big Top, and I thought the harmonica playing was ace!

    Cheers,

    Thomas :)

Vicky, Love your writing and your work. Attached is a song about Revelations 21 & 22 The New Jerusalem. I wrote a song called Jerusalem based on these passages. I want to be a staff writer who can I contact?

    Jerusalem Shaun Schipper

Ethereal Heaven Christ sitting next to you
On thrones that are golden with a celestial view
The Glory of the Father magnified by the Son
The bride of Christ is coming down The New Jerusalem

    Chorus
And the angels sing and the angels sing
And the angels sing and the trumpets ring
The bride of our King, Jerusalem
And the angels sing and the trumpets ring
The bride of our King, Jerusalem
    Is coming down

    Breathtakingly beautiful
    How she sparkles and shines
Adorned with jewels and transparent gold
    Of heavens design
The light of Gods Glory the lamp of the Lamb
No need for the sun or the moon in the New Jerusalem

    Chorus

    Bridge
The city of God the bride of the Lamb
Is coming down the New Jerusalem
No more death no sorrow no pain
God and Christ with us on earth to reign

    Chorus
