Hey! I'm from Canada - Newfoundland, actually. We have a YC event here every year as well, so I've seen you here!! I really hope that you'll be back soon!!
I stumbled across your blog while trying to find lyrics to one of your songs once. I enjoy your blog and find it very insightful!
  • Hey Vicky,

Have enjoyed your music and passion for Christ and music for years. I've lived in Canada all my life... been to YC in Newfoundland a few of the times that you've been there, and though I now live in Alberta - I did not get a chance to head up to Edmonton this year for YC.

As Tom said though, Lethbridge... :-) That's close enough that I could definitely come to the show.

    Be blessed girl!
    Keep rockin' for the King.

    Hey Vicky!
Thanks for coming to YC you were awesome! Me and some of my friends got picture with you after the Just for Girls session.(We were the ones asking you questions like "Do you like The Office?") I hope you com back next year! You were definitely one of the acts that caught my attention this year and made my first year at YC really memorable.

    Thanks!

Glad new worship songs received good feedback from the crowd. I have not been to Canada yet some my family members live the canadian border and gone camping to neighbors to the north. will be praying for you.

Cool to see the coverage of the event and yourself! I am from Edmonton myself but I live about 5 hours south of it now. Glad you enjoyed it and next time you are in the area again we need to get you to do a show here in Lethbridge!

Thank you Vicky... you were inspirational. I appreciated you and your heart for worship. This was the first time I was at YC and to see someone so "real" was incredible, especially among all the star dazzled screaming teens. I am embarrassed to say that I hadn't really heard of you until this YC, but I will definitely be introducing your songs to our congregation. I am practicing and hope to do justice at recreating the intent and heart of your songs. My wife was there for your women's talk and mentioned how much your talk on Hanna meant to her. Thank you for encouraging her. I hope we have the chance to meet again... I look forward to more of your work.
  • Looks like that was a great event! And you seem to have “sleeves.” Did Neil “ink you?” :o) Actually, I guess that's pretty unlikely, as *that* much ink would take a *long* time... not to mention one or two quid. And with as much deliberating as you did with your iPhone purchase, I'll bet you'd have asked for some ideas of what you should put on your arms! Doesn't look like henna though. Looks more like the prison kind where they use a safety pin and the ink from a Bic pen. ;o) Wish I could see it up close...

As to Canadia, I've visited Toronto a number of times, and really enjoy that city. Now that I'm spending some time in the Pacific NW, I'd like to get up to Victoria and Vancouver. I hear they're both great.

And how come the journal didn't say anything about that amazing white falcon in any of the captions?!? :o)
  • I am from Canada!! I used to work for Youth For Christ in Edmonton but moved back to my home province of Ontario (live outside Toronto) . I was so excited to hear you were going to this YC event! Friends of mine brought their youth groups there and had a fabulous time!
