Hey From The Studio!

Greetings! How was your weekend?

Hope it rocked! Here are a couple of photos of me singing on a compilation record…it was a great time. It’s  duet between me and Mark Stuart from Audio Adrenaline. I saw him at church today and he said he loved the way the song sounded with both our voices…so thats cool.

I had some allergies, so to help my voice out I drank a lot of….

TEA!

and….EWWW… this green stuff!

But its been a great couple of days. JFEST in Chattanooga went great and I loved catching up with Steve Fee and his band guys… He used a song in his set that we co-wrote, so that was cool to hear it played live!

My book draft is coming along… This weekend I also finished editing the first 3 chapters and the book Proposal to send to publishers… took a lot of staring at my laptop to get it all finished…but it was worth it : )

Working out has been happening in my life for the first time in ages… so I ache a bit today! I don’t own a TV at home as I never bought one State-side yet… but the gym is full of TVs… so I have a question – “What TV shows do you guys in the States love, and what should I watch?” If you know the channel thats helpful too, as I”ve been the ‘hated’ person in the gym this week, flicking the remote through about 50 channels before finding anything I recognise!!!

Love,

Vicky

  • Wow nice studio you got there
  • Oh, here's an obvious question... are there any TV shows in the UK you love? :o)
  • Congrats on the book progress; that's exciting! I hardly ever watch TV, but I've seen a couple episodes of the following current shows on Netflix and chuckled a bit:
    - 30 Rock
    - The Office (US and UK)
  • stick with local channels till you get the hang of it.
  • Bryan
I enjoyed meeting you at JFest this weekend.
And Audio A is my favorite band, so I'm looking forward to the Mark Stuart duet.

Yes well can't help much with the TV thing although here in England me and my friends seem to be addicted to Austrailian programmes, home and away, neighbours etc.! Not into much english TV I tend to watch mostly american and austrailian!!

Glad the books coming along will be on my to read list when you get it published!! Keep on going with the gym thing I got into it for a while then got out of it again! Not too good but my dance training is keeping me fit enough for the moment!
    With love

    Hey Vicky!
Congrats with your book! Hope it will be translated in Dutch within a year or so, so I can read it too! If not, I have to try the English one :)

My fav shows are CSI and McLeod's Daughters, as for the channels it's different here so... good luck!

Keep working out girl! It's worth the ache isn't it?! I do the spinning thing, working out on a bike (hope u know what I mean!) It's warm, sweaty and not easy to keep up but I like it and I'm getting better at it every week.

    Goodnite from Holland!(as it's 10:39pm here :-)
  • I'm with Wayward on LOST (ABC) and The Office (NBC). My other most favorite show is House (Fox).
  • ESPN! 135, unless your in HD then it's 735. (at least in Vancouver, WA) Sorry though, not much coverage for cricket. History channel is also good...
  • Alicia
Personaly I don't think tv is worth watching any more. They don't seem to make any good shows...
I am so excited about your book! Congrats! Hope it all comes together smoothly for you =)
  • There is only one TV show that I watch: LOST. I suppose I tune into The Office whenever I want to laugh. Other than that, television is a great distraction from the Lord so I tend not to watch it.
  • Hi Vicky! So glad to hear about your book proposal, congratulations on starting down a long road! I don't think there is much to watch these days, I do watch all 3 of the CSI's, they are on CBS, channel 5 maybe?
