Home Video From Vicky!!

Happy Monday to you, my friends!

Here, as promised, is me trying out my little hand-held FLIP video camera…. I thought I’d show you my home studio – my favorites guitars, pedals and the place that I write my Blogs!

My weekend was great… I ate sushi, enjoyed the sunshine and heard a great sermon on Sunday about how to reach our generation for Jesus… they recommended Erwin McMannus’s books so I’m going to start reading them and see what he has to say!

Anyways… my question for you today is a fun one. If you have an iPod or iTunes or any kind of MP3 player – press the ‘random play’ function and let me know the first 10 songs that it plays… Its a really fun game!! I’ll do it first:

1 Boston – Augustana
2 Glosoli – Sigur Ros
3 Outside – Aqualung
4 I’ve Found Jesus – Live And In The Can (Delirious)
5 From The Inside Out – Hillsong United
6 OK – Mutemath
7 Track 2 from Pride & Prejudice Soundtrack
8 Needle and Thread – Sleeping At Last
9 Chapter 8 Ephesians – Haha..I have the Audio Bible on my iPod!
10 Talk To Me – Peter Gabriel

Your turn!!

Vicky

12,079 songs on shuffle can be scary and my guilty pleasures tend to come out, but here goes with the first 10 songs:

    1. Unwritten - Natasha Bedingfield
    2. I Know There's Something Going On - Frida (I didn't remember I had that song)
    3. Down Under - Men At Work (I have a lot of 80's music)

    5. Drive By - Glen Phillips
    6. Hello City - Barenaked Ladies
    7. Simple Heart - Geoff Moore & The Distance
    8. Get Together - Wilson Phillips (good cover)
    9. Wishes and Dreams - Stellar Kart
10.All Because of This - MercyMe

Okay, only 2 guilty pleasures (#1 & #8), not too bad.
  • 1. It's All Over Now Babu Blue - The Byrds
    2. Snowman - XTC (appropriate for today)
    3. You Are Worthy - Hillsong

For Sure;...That is the JON that gave you the Dead Poets Book on the Delirious Tour. Sigur Ros made your top 10...impressive. I wont bore you with my top ten... but... Beck; Ray Charles; and shockingly the new KT album have been in heavy rotation on my ipod ...weird combination.
  • Precious Jesus - The Choir with Leigh Nash
    Beautiful life - Edwin McCain
Water under the bridge - Jars of Clay
Bigger than my body - John Mayer
    Headstrong - Trapt
Too many miles - The Waiting
    Skin - Rascall Flatts
From the inside out - Hillsong United
    Said - Puddle of Mudd
Wrong the right way - Sister Hazel
  • I'm going to try to play this MP3 game even though I don't have a good archive moved onto an MP3 player at the moment... I just switched devices and haven't moved my music of the computer and the CDs onto the player.
    1. Some song by Bethany Dillon. I've got all her albums.
    2. Ditto for Vicky. Looking forward to the third state-side album release later this year. Too bad you can't get your hands on the earlier stuff here...
    3. Something off U2 Joshua tree.
    4. Something off Les Miserables 10th anniversary Broadway recording. This is a two disk set that I can sometimes listen to for hours on end. (...and with twice the songs of a normal album, it's twice as likely to show up in a random list, right?)
    5. Probably something from Sarah Brightman or Iona
    6. Probably something from Third Day
    7. Probably something from Rich Mullins. Actually, he might show up twice or three times. :o)
    8. Possibly something from Chris Rice - particularly his earlier albums. He's a skillful writer if you ask me, and I enjoy his work.
    9. Probably some Nichole Nordeman or Jennifer Knapp or Susan Ashton
    10. Possibly some Burlap to Cashmere or Smalltown Poets
