Photos from “The Stand” Birmingham, UK

Hi friends!

I’m home from the UK and thought I’d post a few photos from the event that I played at over there. These are shots that an excellent photographer called Mark Murfitt took on the day… There were a number of great artists and worship leaders…. Delirious, Jon Foreman from Switchfoot, Tim Hughes, BLUETREE (my new friends from the Canada tour!)..and many more.

It was powerful to unite around such an awesome theme of justice, and specifically setting girls free from sex trafficking and being bought and sold. I believe that issue is very much on the heart of God and it was exciting to see a lot of young people getting fired up about it too.

Hope you’re having a great week!

  • Hey Vicky,
I've just stumbled across your site...
    Glad you liked the photos.
I didn't have a whole lot of time to listen to what was going on, as I was quite busy, but I actually thought you sounded like one of the better acts, but shhhh, don't tell anyone, I'm supposed to be impartial :)
  • Ok we must get together soon. I think of you often and would love to chat soon. H
  • Hey,

Checked out the "Hope for Justice" website. Doing great work for the kingdom. Must've been quite a blessing to unite with so many people with one goal in mind.

    Great pics too btw.

    Hello Vicky
I am a huge fan of your music and the way you lead worship. I have been truly blessed by "painting the invisible" album. The wonder of the cross is my favorite.
Anyway, You are a huge blessing and I pray the Lord will continue to strengthen you and anoint that sweet voice of yours. God bless and keep up the good work of the cross. :)
  • Ummm, you rock? yep indeed.

  • Vicky, sounds like it was a great show, love the seating cards, great stuff... have you been able to partner with any non-profit groups anywhere that are already involved in the trafficking areas? Not even sure of any, just wondering if you hooked up with any yet.

The lineup sounded great... I was able to meet Jon Foreman very briefly while I was shooting at Catalyst in Atlanta (pics here http://www.scottfillmer.com/2008/10/15/catalyst..., sorry for the shameless plug), his performance was just incredible, loved it.
