Photos from Washington DC Show!
Hi friends,
Happy new Year! On 29th Dec I led worship at a conference in Washington DC… The venue was at the location above in purple (Crystal City)..
…So you can see how near to the Pentagon we were. I got a photo out the car window as I’d never seen it before….
It was a really cool experience to be so close to where all the Governmental decisions of the US take place…
On a lighter note, after looking at the Pentagon and the site where the plane crashed on 9/11, we went from our hotel to a shopping mall. To get there we walked through a really cool walkway that was fully mirrored with tiles, then led to escalators taking you up to the Mall or the Metro Station. Here are some fun snaps I took down there, and one that the band guys took of me:
What did you do for New Years eve?
Love,
Vicky

I went out to an all you can eat family buffet with family and watched movies after on New Year’s Eve.

Hmmm, let’s see. I had plans for celebrating New Years Eve with friends in Seattle but almost didn’t make it back in time due to crummy weather in Minneapolis. I did make it out afterall though and we had a great time. Lots of food and talkiing, played Apples to Apples – the expanded party version, watched the Seattle space needle fireworks on TV at midnight, and then had some good conversations for a few hours following midnight about God and life and Christianity and other religions and history and lots of other good stuff. There were people from non-Christian backgrounds there who were bringing up these topics and asking some good questions, so that was exciting.
Hope you had a great time at Onething. I’d planned to keep up with that a bit through the IHOP site, but things were busy enough that I didn’t end up getting to do that after all. One of my family members told me that there were some good hilights on God Tube (or was it God TV) that I should check out, so I hope to do that soon!
Vicky,
It was great to meet you– thank you again for doing the worship seminar and answering questions. It definitely helped me with ideas for my worship band and developing as a worship leader. You helped make Radiate amazing– hope to see you again soon!

ha! No way! I was leading worship at a conference in the same area. We were at the Double Tree Hotel. I could see the Pentagon from my hotel window. Was that mall the “Fashion Centre? it was like 4 stories? Very cool!
I sang back up for a gospel artist ay IV HILLIARD’s church in Texas. It was a great experience!
Vicky,
New Years’ eve spent most of time getting settled my new house and taking some of evening chilling with family watch Giant Ball drop in New York.
In Christ,

Hey Miss Beeching,
Loving your photographs, really like the one of the guy’s back as he walks up the escalator. Nice! I spent new year’s with two of my best friends before one leaves for her YWAM mission to Australia, we watched Jools Holland’s Hootenanny and munched on crisps, then went and listened to some great covers by a nice local band.
Hope you’re having a really great start to 2009, liked your blog on waking up. I’m slowly but surely waking, think I’ll go watch ‘Dead Poet’s Society’ for a bit of inspiration!
(Jordy’s) Amanda!
I spent New Year’s Eve with some friends, just having a good conversation with drinks and junk food
After that we saw some firework (I live in an apartment that’s at the 17nd floor, and I can see the whole city) and went to a party where I also sold sandwiches for a charity organization. The selling thing took a lot more time than I thought, so eventually I stayed longer than I intended because I had to catch up my dancing skills…
