hmm... i think that hangin out with my group of girl friends back home is my most refreshing and yet draining time.... if that works. lol. but i dont get to do that much anymore since i moved. so, now i would have to say i refresh by driving in my car or hanging in my dorm room and just listening to music (rock, worship, pop, w/e) and just belting out along with it.
O and sitting next to creek and just listening to the sounds of the water and the things going on around me. thats one other way. :)

Uh... what refreshes and replenishes me? #1 would have to be family. There's nothing like going home. #2 would be playing and writing music, guitar is therapy. #3 is tearing across the high desert on my dirt bike. There's nothing like hitting 70 mph on dirt where all you can hear is wind and your heartbeat... And a long drive on a nice day with the windows down (I miss my Jeep, I used to say top down). But at almost $4 a gallon, that's getting expensive.

Am I making time for it? Well... not as much as I want. Once the snow melts though I'll have my bike out for sure...

Ah, and how could I forget *traveling*?!? I love to take a few weeks and just travel someplace, without any particular agenda, and just meet lots of great people, take some pictures (ok, usually lots and lots and lots of pictures), do some writing, and pretty much whatever comes up! That's a great time! I keep threatening to sell everything and go drive around America in some sort of camper - or even one of those pickups with the little thing that sits in the pickup bed. :o) One of these days...

Yay for creative chaos!

Boy, is this a timely message for me!!! I've been burning myself out a bit during the past couple months. I've got too many irons in the fire, burning the candle at both ends, and... man, that's a lot of heat!!!

Of course, sitting at a piano alone in a mostly dark room is a great way to spend some time.

I love good media, so watching a really good movie (especially if it's on a great surround sound system) can be a lot of fun and a great way to relax... especially if you're watching with people you love. Also, my family loves to read together, and that's been one of our favorite things to do together for as long as I can remember. Playing games is lots of fun, but sometimes it can get too competitive. For instance, over Christmas break this past year, I was playing Risk with my brother and sister-in-law. He was careful to explain to her (a relatively new addition to the family) that she just *couldn't* cooperate with me early on in the game because, little should she expect it, I would later turn into Satan incarnate. Sometimes we play Pictionary, but certain teams have been banned because of the level of telepathy that we have between certain members of the family. :o)

I also love the outdoors. Spending time at the beach, rollerblading (especially) or biking or walking with friends or family outside is lots of fun. I've also really enjoyed going camping with one of my younger sisters or brother, and that's another thing that we've gone way too long without.

Reading on my own for personal enjoyment is something I used to do loads of, though lately I've hardly done it at all. However, I've got a quickly growing reading list, so I'd better start to schedule the time and ease back into it in a balanced way. :o)

I'd like to take up skydiving, but a non-Christian friend of mine told me that she thinks this would be going against some of the Christian ideals... by kinda taking your life into your own hands without any good cause. It made me stop and think about that a bit, and I still don't know quite what to think about that!

I get to see family this weekend - I'll be there with them for my sister's tenth birthday - and that'll be great for the mind, body and soul. :o) Thanks for the reminder to recharge!
