My new friend, Carlos Whittaker from Buckhead Church in Atlanta is doing an online Blog-Community-Group every Thursday called "Creative Chaos". Check it out here! http://www.ragamuffinsoul.com
He’s looking at "Creativity" within worship. So I thought I’d write today about the need for us to stay creatively refreshed and inspired. Our worship can only be as passionate as the energy we have to give to it. We can only be as creative as our inner fuel tank will allow. So even though it sounds odd, getting proper rest and relaxation is crucial to us to be long term worshipers!
Steven Covey, business expert, used the illustration of a lumberjack chopping wood in a forest. He didnt want to stop working to sharpen His saw. Doing so would have made him many times more productive. The moral of the story is that although it feels like a waste of time and unproductive to rest and relax, it actually makes us BETTER at our work!
For all who are involved in worship ministry, or work of any kind, find out what refreshes you and make time for it!
My question for you today:
"What deeply refreshes and replenishes you? Are you making time for it?"
Love and peace to you guys!
