Spring Harvest Conference, U.K.

Hey friends!

Just got back to the States from an amazing time at British worship conference “Spring Harvest”!

If you aren’t familiar with it, here’s a snapshot of the conference’s history from www.springharvest.org: “Originally launched as a one-week event in Prestatyn in 1979, Spring Harvest has become much more than just an annual event — albeit the largest Christian conference in Europe. Today, we still run The Main Event each Easter, attracting some 45,000 people of all ages to one of a number of Weeks at more than one location”. I have been attending Spring Harvest since my teens and it has had a powerful impact on my walk with Jesus. So it was great to be able to serve there and give something back!

radical reversal/ 180 ministry conference that i attend every year since i was 15 and it just gets crazier and crazier every year. i was battling addiction and really just broken. One touch of the holy spirit and the chains of addiction was gone. i had received a gift and healing at the same time. It was a vision of Jesus just holding me and nothing could have felt as real as that embrace, i was totally a wreck.

Spring Harvest, Minehead and Skeggy. Aaaah, the memories of rain and sun and snow and doing the kid's ministry, Powerpoint, with Rich Hubbard and playing guitar with Roy Castle and looking after Adrian Plass's polite kids and Clive Calver's snotty kids “my Dad's Clive Calver actually” :-) and YFC detached youth workers in donkey jackets and Roy Crowne and Jeff Lucas and overdosing on cheap noodles and Graham Kendrick and Martyn Joseph and hearing Iona for the first time and hanging out with Phatfish and driving too fast and getting buried in the sand on Skegness beach. That was edited highlights of SH 87-93.

Im a Spring harvester!! all the way have been going since i was a toddler with mum and two sisters! We have gone to skeggy in the past but we really do prefer minehead all the way and being The crazy family we our drove all the way from norwich to get there only 500 miles or so 8 hours trapped in a car!!! last years we didn't get to go but due to a miricle from god in our financing we were able to go this year!! I apsolutely Loved the worship This year you guys and your band especially were awesome! (and im thoroughly in want of you guitar!!) My mum is now a vicar of the church of england and i have walked with god all my life (so far) and find spring harvest looking back is one of my fondest memories of spiritual renewal and awakening every year i come away with something diffrent!
Also Lighthouse!!! a childrens holiday week orginally started at halzelmere over 1000 kids in a tent in a field jumping up and down learning about god! its the best sight you could ever seen!

I was at spring harvest this year in minehead. Can I just say that all my favorite songs from this year turned out to be written by you! My favorite of which being the song with ''speack lord, your servants are listening, your servants are listening'', but i didnt manage to get the name of the song, so have thus far failed to find it on itunes. Thank you for your amazing worship, you truely have an incredable gift. Anyway I digress to the point I have been at spring harvest a good many times, but have in recent years have found it hard to maintain any great level of faith, the worship and the all the amazing talks in big top this year has disapated a lot of my anger towards the church and made me more open to the idea of a there being a god, which is a concept I stuggle with. So I guess the answer to your question is spring harvest 09, and in a large way to do with the worship and your music for that week. Thank you.

Got to be Spring Harvest; I've been going since 1992 and there is truly nowhere else in the world I would rather go. Have just come back from Minehead also, and really loved the worship this year. Top songs were 'Above all Else' and of course the super Theological 'Jesus is my Best Friend'. Thanks Vicky

Thanks for sharing what is on your heart with Christian walk with the Lord. As teen was impacted on youth group retreats were encountering the presence of God in everything we do with fasting, prayer, and being taught from the scripture. That was around early 90s Delirious worship songs we would sing really powerful times of direction for me. As a kid my parents listen keith green and michael w. smith that planted seeds for as to how we should do all things for God's Glory. Other worship artists that went to my church that were inspired me.

I was at this year's Spring Harvest (3. week in Minehead). It was the first time for me – thought being a Christian and living in the UK I have to go at least once in my life to Spring Harvest – I really loved it.

The worship was very special to me — thanks Vicky

The event which had the most impact in my early Christian life was the “Baptist World Alliance 2005 (Birmingham), which is very similar to Spring Harvest.

Um in response to the question… a lot of stuff related to sport impacted me – Steve Connor who was at Christians in Sport and Sports Outreach Scotland, Jon Cox at Adventure Plus and the Football events they put on.
Also loads of stuff at All Saints, Clapham Park where I started doing detached youth work, leading small congregations, worship and working with kids…much respect to Drummond, Tedder and Cripps (Cooper) who gave us a shot at getting involved in pushing forward for the kingdom.

The pictures look really good! I've only been to spring harvest once but it was really good!
I remember back in the 90's going to stoneleigh, near coventry for a bible week. (In England this is) and I used to love it because phatfish used to lead the worship and do concerts in the evening. And Louise Fellingham was one of my role models back then :) It was when I must have been about 7-11ish. That had a really positive impact on my faith when I was growing up.
Other than that, I guess Soul Survivor in Shepton Mallet was the other thing I used to go it. And that was always really good! The only hard thing is coming back into the world again when you've been in a christian bubble for a week!

For me, it was Spring Harvest and Soul Survivor. It will be my fifth year at Soul Survivor this year, can't wait.

Vicky, I hope you had a blast at SH.

Gonna get the Spring Harvest live album when it comes out I think.

Spring Harvest is the only one – well the only one I've been to apart from our church away weekend! This was our family's 7th time and one of the best. Worship was brilliant – thanks to Vicky and the band. One of the funniest moments was when almost the entire big top descend on the stage after worship when you were handing out copies of Jesus is my best friend – the priceless look on your face ;) Please forgive me and wife for accosting you for a copy of it outside the coffee stop (aka Finnegans fish and chips). Favourite songs – apart from that of course – were Above all else and the amazing “Speak Lord” – is it published anywhere?

I was three or four when I said the sinners prayer in my bedroom (after being convicted after doing something I shouldn't have that I needed Jesus to come into my heart and change me)… so it'll be hard to talk about events that really impacted me during my early days with Jesus. :o) Didn't really do events back then.

Since that time though, I've really enjoyed a number of events. First one that pops up in my mind is when I was in Nashville with a bunch of friends on 7/7/07 with Lou Engle and a bunch of other folks. Got to prophesy over folks and pray for healing while helping to staff the Healing Rooms tents. Also took pics, enjoyed some great praise and worship, met some sweet people, and prayed for our nation.
