Hi friends,

I had a great time working on songs in Kansas City the past week. Here is a photo of me working on new material, and just having a great time worshiping! I can”t wait for you to hear these new tunes

A big thank you to me dear friend Melody Green for letting me use her songwriting studio, and play Keith Green”s old piano (in the photo above). It”s certainly an inspiring place to write!

Check out Melody”s new website here and if you don”t already have the newly updated version of her book "No Compromise", go get the latest edition as it has brand new photos, stories and material!

I”m loving my new songs and really looking forward to getting stuck into recording them soon. You”ve already heard a few snippets on Myspace…. One is called "Breath of God" based on Ezekiel 37 about the valley of dry bones…. And another one that we have put on Myspace a few times is "Refuge" based on Isaiah 43 (when you walk through the waters, when you walk through the fire…etc). I want to combine really Biblical lyrics with great melody and music.. I love His Word and having studied all those years at Oxford I long to see people fall in love with the Bible…. setting it to great music seems to be the best way for that to happen to our iPod carrying, MTV generation!

I also just got ProTools LE and am trying to learn how to do better guitar/vocal demos. I bought "ProTools For Dummies" at Barnes and Noble… I think that book will be $20 well spent!

More photos and updates from songwriting to come soon…

For all you songwriters reading this, or anyone creative,

"what do you do to inspire you in your writing? (or whatever your creative craft is)… Do you find certain things really help you get inspired?"

Love,

Vicky
