“Unite Canada” Conference Toronto

Hey! I’m back from a great weekend in Toronto : )

The leaves were stunning, and worship was powerful. Here are some shots – the professional pics were taken by Reese Sutiono. Thanks Reese! The other pics are iPhone snapshots that me and my band took.

The venue was The Royal Conservatory Of Music in Toronto – a purpose build auditorium for music to be played in. The ceiling and walls were constructed to create the perfect EQ for instrumentation!

The band: Reid McNulty on bass, Darla Hawn on drums and Jamie Aplin on electric.

Me going through security at the airport…once again, my socks DIDN’T MATCH! Embarassing!

Also, why does everything I wear seem to involve metal studs?? The metal detectors at the airport hate me!!

Darla and I got some Starbucks as we waiting for the plane….

Dude, where did you get your watch? i love it!
  • Based out of Vancity, BC and, perchance, work with Phil Cann on the Greater Vancouver Youth For Christ staff. Caught up with you on The Life Tour about a year ago while dropping in to see him. Let me know when you're back in the Langley//Lower Mainland area...Phil and I will buy you a cup of joe.

great pics Vicky, especially the trees and the building... oh, and that killer guitar you were holding... (jealous!!)
  • Ah Canadia. :o) Thanks for sharing the pics!

I love Toronto; have been there quite a few times as it's such a great place and I've lived most of my life about a six hour drive from there.

Now I'm within a few hours of Vancouver, so I really ought to grab the passport and hit the road with a few friends sometime. I've been there a couple times, but never to spend much time.
  • Great pics Vicky! Thanks again for blessing us at the conference! ( your band included!!! I was mezmorized by Darla!)
  • I've never been to Canada, but it seems to be so beautiful. I love your boots though. They are so trendy.

Yes I am from Canada. Did you get to view the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit while you were there? The building that the RCM is a part of is also the Royal Ontario Museum, kind of our version of the Natural History Museum in NYC. I wish I could have made it for the conference but I was working! I hope you enjoyed your time in Ontario.

I was at the conference on the weekend. REALLY enjoyed it, and can't get your song, 'The Wonder Of The Cross' out of my head! Great lyrics!
  • Hi Vicky. I was at the conference as well, and sat through one of your workshops. I too have had The Wonder of the Cross going through my head all week. It was a wonderful, inspiring conference, and I will enjoy using the info and connections for many moons to come. Oh, and I will think of you often as I'm drinking my Tim Horton's coffee!

I was at the conference, last weekend and loved you!!
I will be asking for your albums for Christmas.
You impressed me with your honesty, humbleness and your total devotion of proclaiming God as your Saviour.
I too loved Darla. She was amazing.

Good day vicky friend, you are one of the major influences that got me into contemporary christian music,I have been a songwriter since my teens, and I can rememeber seeing and hearing your great music from your early days, when you were with worship together web sight, and you just stuck out as a true talented gifted, pop star to me,and I knew you was going to be a huge servant of our lord and savior Jesus Christ also,I have been inspired by you vicky and others to write a couple of praise and worship songs my own self as a blessed songwriter,so I say thanks to you vicky for being such a blessing to the body of Jesus Christ also, and for the love that you have shown, and is still showing to us all,I send my love to you vicky.
