Videos from the past week!

Hi friends!

I’m writing this from the Denver airport, on my way home from leading worship at “YC Canada” in Alberta. It was amazing! Thanks especially to Mike Love, Travis, Tiffany and all the YC team for having me there : )

Here are some videos from my little camera, from the past 2 trips I’ve taken. One is from last weekend in Buffalo New York and the other is this weekend in Alberta Canada. Matt, my bass player (with the crazy hair and Australian accent!) has taken the role of camera man on the road! So you will be seeing more of him on here! His wife is one of my dear friends and his kids are among the coolest I’ve ever met, so we need to get some of his fam on the next video so you can meet them too.

The highlights of Canada were hearing the huge arena singing out their hearts to God in worship…. hanging out with some of my favorite people in the world – the band Leeland (those guys hearts are incredible…such worshipers!)… Going to the West Edmonton Mall (which was HUGE! Thanks to my hostess Jen for driving me there)… Practicing my Canadian accent “eh?!”… Speaking twice and seeing people’s hearts encouraged and changed… the double choc-chip cookies in the Green Room!… and waking up to see the sunrise over the Edmonton sky line as we made our way to the airport today at 4am, riding in 15 seater vans with Leeland, Pillar and Disciple. Fun times!

What was the highlight of your weekend?

Love,
Vicky

I do not know what time it is over in America right now but here in the UK its 6.00 in the evening. The highligh tof my weekend was going to see Dirty Dancing on stage in London. It was awesome. As dancing and singing are two of my greatest passions along wiht reading and studying it was great!

Vicky I was just watching a video of you singing in Peru. Do you still have/know the lyrics to the song as I speak a little spanish and would be interested to know what it was?

Glad you had a good weekend. I have a week off this week so looking forward to lots of guitar playing. ( or attempting as I am teaching myself!)

    With Love

Highlights, highlights.. no concerts over here.
I went to a really nice bed and breakfast. Awesome gift!
On Saturday evening I really really really wanted some dessert, we headed into “downtown” Sutter Creek which is, obviously, tiny. The bar in the corner didn’t have desserts and “downtown” was very much all closed. However, as we walked up and down the one block, we saw someone in the ice-cream parlor. Lo and behold, she was just “hanging out” a few hours after she was supposed to close seeing if someone wanted ice-cream.
Isn’t my God a good pampering God (yet disciplining too)?? I had the biggest one-spoon sundae I’ve ever had. The ice-cream was incredible and I even got to play a boardgame with my sweetheart.. not his choice but mine, we played “chutes and ladders” rounding up a perfect childlike evening.

God always amazes me. He might not be answering what I believe to be lifechanging questions and yet, He is with me every moment, loving on me and reminding me I’m His, whether times are good or bad. He’s an awesome God!

I had an awesome weekend! The highlight was my 90th birthday party. I was born on my Aunt’s 30th birthday, and so this year we are a combined 90 years old. Actually not yet, birthday is Tuesday.

My Aunt didn’t want to have the party, because she’s not thrilled about being 60, but she did it for me.

A good chunk of the extended family came, like 29 of us. I was just overwhelmed with how blessed I was that I have such an amazing family and they all love the Lord. They are also all singers/musicians… you should hear the happy birthday in full harmony.

So that was my highlight. Any weekend I get to spend with my family is a good weekend.

My husband and I added a little flower garden in the front of our house. I don’t like the work, but I LOOOOVE flowers! We found some of God’s most beautiful varieties. Someone once told me to ask God to show off when admiring His creation. I do and He does. He is a pampering God as Ceci said.

New highlight! It doesn’t annex the family, because that’s still way cool. But I unexpectedly got a Macbook Pro!!! I’m going crazy learning all the new things it does.

Your iMovie skills are amazing. I’m proud of your work. It looks like you had an amazing weekend. That makes me happy.

My weekend was good too. I climbed the most difficult mountain of my life and saw a beautiful sunrise from the top.

This weekend i will be heading to an orphanage just outside of Beijing to visit some kids there. I’m super excited about that.

I just experienced an incredible weekend at the 1st ever Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) National College conference at Covenant College in lookout mountain, Ga. Talk about God changing hearts!

The conference was for college athletes from across the country and i’m having a hard time putting into words how awesome it was. I work for FCA and our vision is to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches and this weekend 121 college athletes left charged up to impact their college campuses and world for Christ.

A weekend well spent worshipping God through sports, music and prayer on top of a beautiful mountain. I’m amazed how Christ unites and breaks down barriers when we center ourselves on Him. Especially athletes who are constantly striving to attain glory for themselves and who are so easily distracted by the world. To see college athletes broken and surrendered to our Lord, committed to advancing His Kingdom through their sports was so powerful.

so honored to be a child of the King!!!
