Welcome To My New Blog Site!

A big British "hello" to you!

If we haven’t met before, my name is Vicky Beeching and I’m a worship leader/recording artist based in Nashville TN. Originally from London England, I moved Stateside 3 years ago to sign with my label EMI/Sparrow Records. America is brilliant and I’m loving it!

I’m excited to launch this new Blog… It’s a place where I’ll share my heart and thoughts, post videos from the road and journal what God is teaching me on my journey. It will be great to hear from you too, through leaving comments or sending me an email (click on the "email me" link!).

I want this site to be a helpful and fun resource – to "equip" you with things like free chord charts for my songs, and to "inspire" you through Biblical content, life stories and recommendations on great books and music that will fuel your creative spirit!

We are all travelers on life’s road and all deeply in need of one another to make it through the marathon journey. May this be an online rest-stop where you can sit down, grab a coffee and spend time re-fueling your heart to worship Jesus who is the same "yesterday, today and forever"!

Leave me a comment and introduce yourself – let me know who you are and where you’re from so I can get to know you too  : )

Vicky, Why are there not any new coments? Everything is from 1 year ago. I am attaching another song I wrote I hope you like.
    “My everything” Shaun Schipper

You’re my Christ my God my everything
The lord of lords, king of kings
    God with us, Emanuel
    Beginning and the end

You are the light in my life
    You’re everything to me
You are the truth you are what’s right
    You are the everlasting key
You’re the water in my desert
You are the ship that’s in my sea
    You’re my Christ my God
    Oh how you rescued me

    Jesus, Lamb of God
    Oh how you rescued me
    Jesus, Lamb of God
    You opened up my eyes
    And let me see

    Repeat all

You’re my Christ my God my everything
The lord of lords, king of kings
    God with us, Emanuel
    Beginning and the end

Hi Vicky, I am a song writer and love watching you, Matt Maher and the rest of the gang at New Song Cafe it's a fantastic site. I have seen and visited with Matt Maher twice this year at concerts in Bismark and Fargo, ND. I hope one day to have the pleasure of seeing you. I have suggested to Matt and now you that New Song Cafe have an annual contest for new song writers with the top one or two being interviewed on the show. That would be a great thing to do to encourage writers all the more, who are writing praise and worship songs.
    In Christ, Shaun
  • Hey, Vicky!

I'm really excited about your new blog! (I was sad to see your old one go though, I especially loved that shot of you and the stuffed coyote or whatever it was... that was great.) :o)

You said we should introduce ourselves, so here goes. I met you at a really tiny concert a few months ago on a university campus in Michigan. I'd found out about it through Bethany Dillon's MySpace somehow... (and I've since learned – through her brother Aaron that you guys are friends) I'd previously heard and loved a couple of your better-known worship songs, but hadn't discovered you as a recording artist before a couple days prior to the show.

Anyway, I think the people putting that event together just didn't do much of promoting it. That was really too bad. I remember the worship was awesome! When I closed my eyes, I could see a wall of fire coming off the stage and engulfing the campus. Wow.

Sevenglory was there to open for you, and I really enjoyed talking to some of their band members after the music was done. I was hoping for a chance to talk to you, but I didn't get much of a chance. :o)

Thanks for sharing about songwriting here on your blog! I'll have to check out that book by Sheila Davis. It sounds really great. It'd be fun to talk songwriting with you sometime. Have you read Tunesmith by Jimmy Webb? I just came across that recently and have *really* enjoyed it so far (I'm half-way through.) As I read through Tunesmith, I'm learning a bunch from a very successful veteran of songwriting and also end up laughing out loud a few times in the process.

Thanks also for encouraging all of us to write you back. It's pretty awesome that you take the time to make friends of a few fans.

I've got a few questions for you if you ever get a few spare minutes and want to send a reply. (I've got your gmail address set up in my email address book so you won't get caught in my spam filter...) Of course, if you just want to reply in general here on the blog, that'd be great too.

How's EMI been since the buyout by Terra Firma? I've heard that some artists haven't liked some of the changes that have happened since...

What was it like working with Ed Cash? I know that you and Bethany have worked with him, and I love both of your work. It seems like he's a pretty talented and down-to-earth kinda guy; it'd be fun to hear more.

I'd also love to hear more about your missionary heritage. Maybe you could do some posts on that.

Finally, I've done a bit of helping a few non-profit organizations and smaller local bands with photography and website design... if there's ever anything you need in these areas, let me know. I'd be glad to do whatever I can to help. Even if it's just advice. I'm sure your label takes care of most/all of what you need with this sort of stuff, but I figure it doesn't hurt to offer. :o) I've got a few photos up at http://www.FertileSoul.com/ - there's not much there, nothing recent, and no music promo stuff, but it's better than nothing. I've been spending too much time helping other people on their websites to do much on my own... :o) I'm also working on a music website for some of my own work, but I don't have any recordings finished that I'm happy with yet, so the site content at this point is pretty much solely comprised of text... lyrics, bio, etc. ...not much of a music site!

Anyway, I think I should bring this novella to a close.

Thanks again for sharing. I'm impressed with the frequency of your posts! That must be linked somehow to one of your New Year's resolutions. I hope they are all going splendidly for you.

    Blessings,

    Jonathan

    Hey Vicky,
I stumbled upon your music a couple of months ago. It's been such a blessing as I walk to classes and those late night study hours here at college. God even whispered "I am coming" to me as I was walking and listening to "Suddenly." I was so overjoyed. I want to thank you for your ministry. Oh, and grilled cheese isn't that easy either. :)

    God Bless

  • I love the song... "Yesterday... Today... & Forever." I found you through "You Tube" of all places... Your heart really shined through... and I felt inspired by your music and listening to you talk. I look forward to seeing what your Blog Site has to share :o) I've played guitar for years... but never have mastered it in a way that I am consistent... I pick it up committed that I will master my strumming only to be discouraged and give up again :o) chords are not my challenge... it's rhythm *sigh. I hope to see your chord sheets posted soon - God bless you and thanks for the opportunity to know you and your ministry more.

    Love,

    Pamela
